on her special day

Nicolette Casarotto

On the morning of her wedding, Nicolette and her beautiful bridesmaids slipped into matching KTL as they got ready for the day ahead.

She let us in on all the details, from the romantic proposal to the most unforgettable moments of her celebration.

TELL US ABOUT

The wedding vision and aesthetic

We wanted an Italian-style wedding that screamed romance in every aspect - a big celebration with amazing food, great music, and so much love in the room.

From the candles and flowers to all the thoughtful little details, everything felt deeply personal. My incredibly talented sister did all our styling and signage, which made it even more special.

We wanted the day to be full of surprises and ‘wow’ moments - something unique and memorable that truly felt like “us”. It became a three-day event: a welcome dinner with our family and bridal party, the wedding day, and an Italian-style recovery party with pizza and spritz to soak up the night before.

Q & A

First dance song?

Beyond by Leon bridges.

Favourite KTL style?

The Nicolette Thong Set every day of the week! (very fitting given the name). I need this in every colour.

Wedding Morning Non-negotiables?

Calmness, champagne and good music were essential.

Beautiful, romantic getting ready outfits were a must!

Lace or Silk?

I love a mix of both - my second dress and getting ready outfit had a mix of both.

The most memorable moment?

Walking down the aisle and seeing all the people I love in one place and then locking eyes with Josh at the end, was completely surreal and so special.

TELL US ABOUT

The proposal

We got engaged on our 11th anniversary. Josh had planned a date night at Totti’s and a weekend staycation.

The next morning on our actual anniversary, we went for a sunrise walk around Bondi Beach, our favourite spot and he proposed. My sister was hiding in the bushes nearby, secretly filming the moment. He’d organised a full weekend of wining and dining - it was absolutely perfect.

Tell us about

The location

We got married at Redleaf in Wollombi, an Italian style property - it’s honestly the most incredible venue I’ve ever seen, and we felt so lucky to be able to celebrate there. Every part of the weekend was in a different location of the property with special touches from start to finish.

We had a giant selfie mirror/welcome sign, a champagne tower with custom “The Hammons” champagne bottles, custom made limoncello shots and tambourines on each table. We wrote personalised love letters for each guest delivered on platters during our cocktail hour. We also created a coffee table style photo album with pictures from our lives and had guests flip through and write messages.
